Effective Date: June 4, 2026
Last Updated: June 4, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") explain the rules for using Kazakit (the "App"), a local-first macOS app for organizing creative projects, notes, tasks, assets, timelines, and focus work.

1. Agreement to These Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Kazakit, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

3. App Store License

If you download Kazakit from Apple's App Store, your use of the App is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement unless Kazakit provides a separate custom license agreement through App Store Connect. These Terms supplement that license and explain Kazakit-specific rules.

4. Your License to Use Kazakit

We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Kazakit on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the applicable App Store rules.

5. Your Content

You keep ownership of the projects, notes, documents, files, assets, ideas, and other content you create or add to Kazakit. Kazakit does not claim ownership of your workspace content.

You are responsible for the content you create, store, import, copy, or share using Kazakit, including making sure you have the rights or permission to use any third-party material you add to the App.

6. Local Storage and Backups

Kazakit is designed as a local-first app. Your workspace data is stored on your device unless you choose to copy it, back it up, share it, or contact us with it.

You are responsible for backing up your own data. Kazakit may provide local storage and reset tools, but we cannot guarantee that local files will never be lost, damaged, deleted, or made unavailable by device failure, operating system behavior, user action, or other events outside our control.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use Kazakit to violate laws, infringe intellectual property rights, harm other people, attempt to bypass security features, reverse engineer the App except where allowed by law, or use the App in a way that damages Kazakit, Apple systems, or other services.

Kazakit may include links to external resources, such as the Kazakit website, App Store review pages, or email support. Those resources are operated outside the App and may be governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

9. Updates and Changes

We may update Kazakit to add, change, or remove features, fix bugs, improve performance, or meet App Store and platform requirements. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Kazakit after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

10. No Warranty

Kazakit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost content, business interruption, or device issues arising from your use of Kazakit.

12. Termination

You may stop using Kazakit at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to future updates or services associated with Kazakit if you violate these Terms or if continuing to provide the App or related services is no longer practical or lawful.
